Details

Trek's Streetwise U-Lock w/Cable utilizes a 13mm-diameter hardened-steel shackle and crossbar, plus a cable, which provides convenience, versatility and top-notch safety, too. By using two locking devices you can secure the frame to an immovable object with the U-Lock and lock the wheels with the cable (no need to remove the front wheel). Plus, the high-security disc-style U-Lock mechanism is pick-proof and comes with a protective dust cover. And, there's even a $1,000 anti-theft protection offer to back up this lock! What's more, it comes with a handy carrying bracket that ensures top security is always at hand.

Rattles when in the carrying bracket

Comments:

The carrying bracket itself is fine, and it holds the lock tightly. But when placed in the carrying bracket, the two parts of the U-lock just rattle like crazy while riding the bicycle over anything except completely smooth terrain. I've mitigated this by putting tape around one of the ends of the U, but the other end still has the problem. Poorly designed lock when it comes to transportability.

Great lock! Much better than the MasterLock kind I used before. It is much more durable, and while I would like a bit wider of a 'U', it works fine!
